Founder Nonna Daron’s skincare journey began more than 25 years ago, when she followed in her mothers footsteps becoming a professional aesthetician. Under Nonna’s direction, Flying Beauticians expanded its salon and services to meet the growing needs of its clientele. She has been featured in both TV and editorial for her excellence in service, including winning Best of The Bay Area. As mother and daughter co-founders, Flying Beauticians’ two generations of European skin care experience offers a complete range of services, including our famous result-oriented facials and renowned brow and bikini waxes.

Co-Founder Polina Genkin started her aesthetician career at age 18 in her native country of Russia, attending medical school (the US equivalent to a registered nursing degree) in Moscow. She emigrated with her family to the US in 1978. She worked in NYC and San Francisco, perfecting her skills in several high end skin care salons including Henri Bendel, Christine Valmy, and Mario Badescu. She has earned several International awards in her field. Her clients included celebrities and socialites of the big cities. She has been operating out of the San Francisco - Union Square location since 1981. Highly regarded in the industry for her expertise, her daughter naturally wanted to follow in her footsteps.
